Families often lack stable housing, food, healthcare and other resources that are essential to babies’ foundational physical, emotional and intellectual development.  The First 1,000 Days Tampa Bay pilot program is relying on community partnerships and early learning experts to help create a coordinated system of care that will meet the comprehensive needs of 20 pre-identified indigent families.

During the first 1,000 days of life, human brains undergo a period of rapid growth and children are hardwired in ways that have lifelong consequences.  By pooling resources and working with local partners, this initiative will provide better access to prenatal, newborn, and early childhood development care that gives children and families a crucial opportunity to thrive.

The Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee is working with stakeholders PNC Bank and Florida Blue and many other partners and non-profit organizations to launch this first-of-its-kind initiative in Tampa Bay.
